Hearse

It is easy to say that any new band featuring former members of an already popular band is sure to find high anticipation. The band can also, however, fall victim to much more critical listening than bands without said brush of fame. And so it was when Sweden’s HEARSE released their 2003 debut-CD ‘Dominion Reptilian’, that music critics and fans alike stood up with keen interest. The record was a refreshing hybrid of musical styles, an embodiment of melodic Death, classic Metal and hints of a more groovier stoner influence. The album had amongst its ranks one fond character, the incredible voice of Johan Liiva. More than just the former vocalist of ARCH ENEMY some call Liiva “one of the most remarkable voices in metal music” ! HEARSE released ‘Dominion Reptilian’ to high acclaim throughout Europe. Their second album ‘Armageddon Mon Amour’ was much more detailed, much better produced and simply better than the debut, without complaining on that album! As an appetizer to the band’s 3rd album (scheduled before the summer of 2005) HEARSE now releases this extended EP titled ‘Cambodia’ (9 songs with a playing time over 40 minutes). Last but not least this CD is sold in mid-price and is a limited release for the ever-growing HEARSE fan base worldwide !
